“This venue allowed us the space to create a 70s basement. We loved being able to change the ceiling lighting. Bekkah our coordinator was the first person we talked to. The groom said yes to the venue, specifically for the groom’s suit. They had a great time in there before the wedding. Bekkah was on board with every idea we had, she truly allowed me to feel like I had the freedom to run with my ideas. She was so helpful with the set-up of the wedding and her presence really put everyone at ease. She paid attention to our color scheme and it was awesome to get the chair upgrade. She was organized with some great layouts and spread sheets that were even colored coded using the colors of the wedding! Being out of state and a majority of our meetings happening through zoom calls, she made sure I was always involved. Mckiah the banquet captain, seemed to be right there every time we needed anything. She was very attentive, always keeping our drinks full. The serving staff worked quickly and quietly. They were very efficient and discreet. The bartender was everyone’s favorite person. He was very kind by expressing his appreciation for being included with the “tiki” theme. He remembered people drinks and got them ready before they asked. The guard was also just a pleasant person to have around. He was approachable and seemed to enjoy talking to everyone. My brother had his wedding at the Ken Carl location in December of 2022 so we knew the food was going to be good. The family and guests had a lot of dietary restrictions. The vegan/gf peppers were fantastic and having so many salad options was a great way to help accommodate everyone’s dietary needs. The tortellini and the prime rib were tied for everyone’s favorite. However, as there was no prime rib left over, I think it has to be the winner. Bret and Chris, the chefs, did not disappoint. Elizabeth the DJ, truly set the vibe for our 70’s wedding. She found every specific song we asked and check in on us all night. She always made sure we were ready to move on to the next thing and double check to make sure we were all on the same page. Once Tom from Love & Lense, heard about our wedding theme, he was completely on board. Chelsea stopped by the venue early, where she took pictures of each individual table decoration because each setup was different. They were great to have around all evening. They paid attention to my Pinterest board and made sure to incorporate pictures that I had asked for. We won a portrait during the food tasting extravaganza, which was very exciting. I can’t wait to see how all the pictures turn out.”

“Our wedding was everything we hoped for. Courtney (our coordinator) was warm, organized, and made the day run smoothly. Mikayla and Malia were so friendly and helpful, and Christy (bartender) kept checking in to make sure we had drinks in hand. We also really liked our DJ, Madeleine—she kept the energy up all night, but considering I had given her a very long list of songs we really liked, I was sad when she played some that weren’t even on the list, particularly during dinner service, knowing that meant less time for the songs we loved most. The ceremony site was stunning, and the reception space perfectly blended rustic mountain charm with elegance. The prime rib was excellent, and overall, the food exceeded our expectations. Dropping off, having them set everything up and picking up decorations went so smoothly. Unfortunately, the contracted bakery that was included in our package never got back to us, even after we followed up multiple times. Because of that, we had to use an outside baker, The Cakery Pastry Studio, whose cake was amazing—but it cost us more money out-of-pocket, even after receiving a credit. The Gold Nugget Cabin was clean and charming, though the bathrooms are dated. I did appreciate that they had recently updated the bridal suite, which made for beautiful “getting ready” photos. I do wish check-in had been earlier for photos, as I felt rushed before the ceremony. My only real regret is not adding an extra hour to the reception—it flew by too quickly. The only big negative I have to share is how close to the wedding they were able to confirm our rehearsal time between 9:00 AM or 1:00 PM. That impacts travel time for the wedding party. In my case they were all coming in from out of state and navigating child care. Not knowing if they’d need to fly in the night before or if they could swing an early AM flight until just 6 weeks before our date added extra stress on me and our wedding party.”

After solidifying our decision, we were blessed to work with Emily prior to and the day of our wedding. She kept in constant communication with us throughout the planning process and made sure we had everything covered along the way. I cannot fully articulate how incredibly amazing Emily is at planning and executing an event without a hitch! In addition to her assistance with planning and day-of coordination, we added her decor/set-up/tear down service - as a DIY bride this was an absolute blessing and truly brought my vision to life. We received countless compliments throughout the night (and to this day) about how awesome Emily was and how perfectly the night went. Along with Emily and Patricia, we are truly grateful to all the amazing staff that helped make our wedding as magical as it was. The bartenders, servers, and cooks (and everyone in between) made the experience an unforgettable one for us and our guests. The Rose's food is beyond words in terms of quality, look and taste. We had the 14er Buffet Style Menu and were obsessed with the beef medallions and pork loin. Drinks were made consistently perfect and there was never a line for 100 guests! “Mountain Crust is incredible!! I can promise you, you don’t need to look at additional venues. You will not find a venue that is more fun, more kind and willing to make anything happen. I am so grateful for our experience with Mountain Crust Pizza. The Great: 1. The Staff – they are kind and had had fun with us! They communicated with our guests, they were always willing to help and went above and beyond at every step!! Standout employees from our event were Janae (our day of coordinator and one of the most organized and detailed humans), Spencer (upstairs Bartender and someone multiple guests called out saying how kind he was and how wonderful his drinks were) and Ryan (Owner and just sunshine in a human). 2. The food and drinks – I mean what else do your guests want?! BEST PIZZA AND UNLIMITED FOR 3HRS??? All of our guests left full and satisfied and HAPPY! 3. They do everything – day of coordinator, place to get ready, serve food, great bartenders, tables/chairs/napkins, etc. They even gave us great recommendations for Vendors. We booked one of Mountain Crust preferred DJ’s - Alysia the owner of Moonlit Entertainment Co and she was incredible! She listened and tailored the music to our guests and us. We had such a good time with Alysia! 4. Environmentally friendly – they compost and are nearly zero waste! Which also means real napkins, real plates, real silverware!!! 5. Loveshack – what a truly beautiful and perfectly casual spot to get ready in the morning. It is decorated so nicely but so incredibly comfortable. We had a group of 12 vendors and we didn’t feel crowded! The Bad: LITERALLY NOTHING! I have no constructive criticism to offer.”

“Craftwood Peak with Wedgewood Weddings is a truly fantastic venue. It has so much personality without being tryhard quirky. And it helped us so much to have so much included or managed directly through the venue rather than having to juggle everything alone. The minimum cost being based on the size of our wedding rather than the specific venue didn't hurt either. It was so helpful to have money already set aside to put towards things like the cake, desserts, florals, etc. just by working with Wedgewood. Natalie and Katie took such good care of us both in the planning stage. Katie was to be our day-of coordinator, but the day before our wedding she had a nasty fall and ended up with a pretty severe injury. Even so, she still showed up on our wedding day to make sure that the reigns were safely handed to Kayla to care for the rest of our ceremony. Kayla pulled a perfect ceremony out of tetchy weather and stressful family politics. We quite literally could not have done it without her. Our Banquet Captain was Becca who was just wonderful to us. We and our guests were well-attended through every beat of our reception. It was such a relief knowing that anything that needed doing was being done without our needing to manage whatever fiddly thing. She was a star. Our bartender, Tyler, was marvelous in his role. He did a great job translating wishy-washy vague requests into actual delicious drinks. He also went out of his way to learn a specific recipe that we requested ahead of time. He's a total gem and we so appreciated his hard work during our reception! Our chefs Dylan and John totally knocked it out of the park with our meal. We had a buffet-style dinner with multiple options so that people with any dietary restrictions or preferences would have plenty to choose from. Everything was delicious, to the point that even the notoriously picky mother-of-the-bride complimented a dish featuring an ingredient she normally finds offensive. The entire staff of the venue were absolute heroes to us through the months of planning and the final execution of our special day. Thank you all SO MUCH! To anyone reading, believe the hype. This place rules.”

Black Canyon Inn has 2 beautiful event spaces! The Boulders venue can accommodate up to 200 guests and aesthetically is a modern event space with natural rock and industrial chandelier lighting. The ceremony and reception take place within the two-story building and there are large accordion opening windows for mountain views throughout your ceremony and reception. The Homestead & Wedding Pavilion Venue can accommodate up to 100 guests and has an outdoor covered Pavilion with mountain views as the ceremony space and a historic rustic cabin for the reception space.

“We absolutely LOVED this venue. First off this place is seriously so gorgeous and has the most amazing views! Second, our dinner was buffet style and everyone raved about how good it was. We have family members who also work in the wedding industry and they even said it’s the best wedding food they’ve ever had. Everything was warm, fresh, and cooked to perfection! The staff there had everything running very smooth. The bar service was fast and the drinks were delicious. The Wedding Team assigned to us the moment we booked Black Canyon Inn, were extremely helpful with every step of the wedding planning process. Any question we had they got back to us immediately. Then that day, Anna, was on top of things, ensuring me and my husband had everything we needed the entire night! We truly didn’t have to worry about a single thing because of her. Our guests keep raving about their experience at our wedding, and I have to credit a significant part of that to Black Canyon Inn. Honestly, if it were possible to give this venue more than a 5-star rating, I absolutely would!”
